Ahhhh...

Home! Well, sort of. Same country anyway! Me and the kiddos made the trek across the ocean without incident. Our flight was far from full, so there was plenty of room for us all to stretch out...which was really only helpful when it was time to sleep. But, I think that sleep has helped the jet lag out tremendously for both the kids and myself. We still get tired at weird times, but nothing some rest and a walk can't cure. So, we're in Washington State right now visiting my sister and her family. Kami loves having someone to play with EVERY day and spends most of her time outside (crisp, clean and fresh air, might I add!). Anyway, we're having fun and enjoying ourselves very much! And we're adjusting ourselves to the American way of living. Although I have caught myself bowing to people AND cutting them off while driving! It's the loveliness and rudeness of Korea coming out in me! ;^)

Okay! So, here are some pictures of our adventures thus far:

Our ride up to the Airport in Seoul! Drew was nice enough to ride with us to the airport and hang out with us for hours before we left! We miss him so much!
Once we were through Security, I was on my own with the kids. We still had an hour before our flight was to board, so luckily there was a little indoor park where the kids used up some energy.

Nine and a half hours later we were enjoying stepping onto American soil. We love Korea, but we love our own country more and we're so glad we're here to stay! So, after getting set up with a rental car, we made a short 1 hour drive (short compared to the 9 1/2 hrs) to Enumclaw to my sisters house. There the afternoon was well spent playing in the backyard. And after a long hard afternoon of play, it was "movie night" for FHE. Kami brought lots of shows that her cousins hadn't seen, so they picked one of hers - CARS, for those who were dying to know.
Today was spent walking around town. There's a great little consignment shop and I picked up a pair of summer pants for Kami, a bunch of stuff for AJ and even scored a skirt and pair of pants for myself (I was totally checking out the skirt to see if I could re-create it). Tonight was also Enrichment night...they were sewing christmas stockings that will be filled with goodies and sent to servicemen at Christmastime. Sewing? Geeze. Twist my arm! After dinner, Robert brought out the Chickens (the coop is almost done and looks great!). I thought Kami would dig them more, but, I honestly can't tell which one is the chicken and which one is my daughter...
Auntie Rachel and Charlotte came to her rescue! She's still not sure about the chickens. And that's it for now! More adventures to be posted soon!

I'm so glad you made it without incident. Today is cold, rainy, and smelly here in Korea and I am wishing I was back in the good old USA as well. Have a fun time with your family. It just isn't the same with everyone leaving us. You are missed.
